I have to say I am pretty disappointed with it. Even though they covered a Bob Dylan song, then why were they really trying to be the Sex Pistols. Gerard's singing in the beginning sounded just like Johnny Rotten. They also stole many of the Sex Pistols riffs. It was hard to watch and I have to say I was embarrassed for them. The boot stomp scene was really tame and really lame. I love, love, love MCR (especially the older stuff) but this in my opinion was an Epic Fail. I really hope they find themselves again. I know some people will hate that I feel this way.....too bad. I am wondering if we are now seeing The Rise and Fall of MCR (another thing they stole. It was the working title for The Black Parade. It's the title of a Bowie album- The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust and the Spiders from Mars.) *shakes head*

I see where you're coming from, but I enjoyed the video nonetheless. They were going for an Eighties feel with the song and video so it would "fit" in with the Watchmen timeline. I think the video was a small step forward for the boys. The band was heavily influenced by the Sex Pistols, so it may notbe stealing but borrowing from their sound. The same with the "Rise and Fall" title. The band cite Queen as a major influence and Quesn worked with who else, but David Bowie on the classic "Under Pressure" so who's to say that Bowie isn't also a major influence?
